Enjoy the beach !!
Take advantage of the pristine quality of our sandy stretches of beach with some sun tanning, BBQ, games, snorkeling, swimming, and even sunsets. Kihei, Wailea and Makena feature the best beaches on Maui. Make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen, because the sun can kick you when you least expect it!
Road to Hana
We can't say enough about doing the Road to Hana. Driving this road and enjoying the sights, smells, and people along the way is something you'll never forget. Waterfalls, coastal cliff line, and lush jungle will make you think you've gone to heaven.
Sunrise at Haleakala Crater
Watching the sunrise from the Haleakala Crater is breath-taking but you’ll have to wake up really early to get to the top before sunrise.
Iao Valley
Iao Valley, with it picturesque streams, lush greenery, and the iconic Iao Needle is a beautiful place to visit. This area is also rich with Hawaii’s history. Go for a short hike along the lower stream or hike the upper hike to the lookout. Very beautiful.
Lahaina Town
The old whaling town of Lahaina is rich with history. Before it was a whaling harbor, it acted as the meeting place for Hawaiian kings to throw huge parties. One of Lahaina’s prominent features is the Banyan Tree that extends over an entire block. A perfect place to enjoy your evenings with great restaurants and shops along Front Street.
Ulalena or Elvis in Lahaina
Maui Theatre is unique with some great shows such as Ulalena and Burn'n love.
I personally love Ulalena.
Explore Upcountry Maui
The paniolo side of Maui has some of the best views on the island. Makawao and Kula are fun areas to explore with beautiful homes and great shopping. Stop at T. Komoda’s Bakery in Makawao for delicious stick donuts and cream puffs. In Kula, tour the beautiful botanical gardens, enjoy complimentary wine tasting at Tedeschi Vineyards, enjoy a great Burger at the Paniolo Store and stop by Grandma’s Coffee House for freshly made coffee and cake.
Hippies in Paia
Ok, they’re not all hippies, but the atmosphere is definitely more relaxed and a bit more conscious than other areas on the island. Paia is an interesting community of artists, surfers, and small business owners. The shopping is great here and so is the "people watching". Grab a picnic lunch and enjoy the views and swimming at Baldwin Beach Park, or head to Flatbread for a great Pizza.
Hiking
Maui has so many amazing hikes, it's hard to know where to start.
Here some of my favorites.Bamboo Forest Hike
Many of the best hikes on Maui begin in bamboo forests. Bamboo grows extremely fast and tall which makes for stunning landscapes. Check out the two on both sides of the Road to Hana, one at Mile Marker 6.5 and the other on Pipiwai Trail near the Seven Sacred Pools.
La Perouse Bay
Maui’s latest eruption a couple hundred years ago put the great volcano of Haleakala to rest. The lava fields from the last lava flow make up miles of jagged moon-like landscape on the southern tip of the island. Makena is largely covered in this flow, which is quite breathtaking to visit. To get here, follow the highway down through Kihei, Wailea and Makena before reaching La Perouse Bay, where you can enjoy great views, snorkeling and hiking. You may even see Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins resting in the bay.
Polipoli State Park Hikes
Many different beautiful hikes up at Poli Poli State Park. Elevation is about 7000ft. Lots of information on Google.
Sliding Sand Trail on Haleakala
Great 5 hour hike trough Haleakala Crater. Elevation 10000ft. Lots of information on Google.

Surfing
If you've always wanted to surf, but have never tried, this is a great place to learn.
Scuba
From the Cathedrals of Lanai to the backside wall-dive of Molokini Crater, scuba diving in Maui waters is exceptional. We're lucky to have rich tropical reefs, abundant sea life, and unique sites to dive. Try diving a shipwreck, or better yet, try diving a World War II tank wreck!
Molokini Snorkeling
There are plenty of great spots to snorkel and scuba dive around Maui, and we like to suggest Molokini because it offers a whole package of fun in 1 trip. You'll cruise on the water and see Maui from a different perspective, You may see dolphins or whales while in season, and if the trip allows, you can do two snorkeling sessions, one at Molokini Crater and another with loads of green sea turtles at turtle bay.
Kayaking
Kayaking in Maui is affordable and fun. After an hour or two in a kayak, you’ll have seen Maui marine life as well as received great exercise.
Kiteboarding and Windsurfing
Maui is the Windsurfing and Kitesurfing capital of the world. Our warm winds blow almost everyday in a very predictable manner leaving our shores with perfect conditions.
Parasail
Want to see Maui from a different vantage point? Get your adrenaline going while soaring hundreds of feet above the water while parasailing!
Whale watching (only winter month)
By far one of the best Maui activities to do is whale watching. This is only possible during the winter months due to humpback migration patterns. You can watch them from shore, but the best way is to take a Maui whale watch cruise and see them up-close.
Sunset Cruise
Enjoying dinner on the water during sunset is what Maui is all about. Watching the green flash of the sunset while over the water makes for some spectacular photographic moments. Just don’t forget about the delicious meal in front of you. Some boats have full sit down dining, and others offer cocktails and snacks.
Watch a Luau
Maui is home to around a dozen different luaus that all have their different personalities. Some are built for the families with kids, some for the romantic couples, and others for pure authenticity. Ask an expert which one would fit your group by calling a Activity Authority.
Helicopter Tour
Many of the most beautiful spots on the island are inaccessible in any other way than by helicopter tour. Hover next to towering waterfalls, cruise along rugged volcanic coastline, and enjoy the majestic beauty of Haleakala Crater above the clouds. You can even hop across the channels to see the sea-cliff waterfalls of Molokai or the coast of Big Island.
Bike Haleakala
For the adventurous, riding a bike down a volcano sounds like a great start to the day. Luckily, many Maui bike companies offer van tours for those looking to see the crater in complete comfort. Either way, viewing sunrise from on top of the World is something you'll never forget. It's a blissful moment that can only be matched by many effortless miles downhill on a bike
Mountain Biking
Maui is home to tons of great trails for mountain biking. The back roads and many dirt tracks make it fun and challenging. While commercial mountain bike tours are no longer allowed from the summit of Haleakala Volcano down skyline trail, you can still rent your own bike and treat yourself to a tour, stopping to capture the beauty from 10, 000 feet above sea level all the way down to the scenic ocean views along Maui’s north shore.
Zipline
Wherever you are on the island, there's a zipline near you. This adventure is so much fun, and it allows for some unexpected pluses along the way: You'll have great views, some fun hiking, and informational guides that will tell you about the foliage and animal/bird life you'll likely encounter. It's a perfect mix of beauty and excitement. Like Piiholo Ziplines, Skyline Ziplines and Maui Zipline Company.
Golf
Not only does Maui have some top-notch, world-class golf courses, but we've got the views to match.
Yoga
If you're into yoga, or a beginner that's curious, Maui is THE place for working with other enlightened individuals that practice regularly. There are many classes as well as group workshops going on regularly.
Horseback Riding
Though Upcountry Maui is viewed as cowboy country, you can find good horseback riding all over the island. Both Makena and the West side offer horseback tours on Maui.
Other nice places to visit:Maui Ocean Center
What better place to go to an aquarium at than in Hawaii? The Maui Ocean Center has loads of Hawaiian sea life, from bright coral gardens, to an enormous shark tank. This is a great place to visit in any weather.
Maui Tropical Plantation
Along with being a venue and event space, this plantation is home to beautiful gardens, a duck pond, shopping and ziplines and much more. The Maui Tropical Plantation is a special place. Hop aboard the Tropical Tram Tour, visit the Bailey Historical House, watch experts husk coconuts, and even visit the Mill House for special events (great food) and outdoor live music shows.
Lavender Farm
The lavender farm is a special place to visit. Lavender grows in Upcountry Maui, which gives off the most intoxicating scents! With over 55, 000 lavender plants and 45 different varieties, Ali’i Kula Lavender is a great place to explore on Maui.
